Our Basecamp experience will usually involve a short forest hike adjusted to the age and ability of your group. This sets the tone for setting up our camp, where we will spend the duration of the day. The location will usually be a short drive from your school, or sometimes even within walking distance.
-
Please contact us to chat more about creating your bespoke Basecamp experience. We will be happy to talk through the different options available to help you find your ideal programme.
Micro-Expeditions
-
A multi-day programme that empowers your students to plan and take ownership of their own sustainable micro-expedition.
The experience begins at school, with students exploring maps and researching areas of interest to help them decide where to go on their micro-expedition and choose a sustainable objective.
Under careful guidance, students will work to a budget, organising and booking their own low-impact transport, food and kit needed for a successful trip.
Once all the details have been arranged it’s time to head out and explore, bringing the expedition to life.
-
All of our micro-expeditions take place in Slovenia, and will include travel, hiking and working to an objective. The location and duration will depend on the time available and your starting point (usually your home-town)
-
Micro-expeditions are the perfect way for your students to develop real-world skills, while considering and minimising our impact on the environment. Just some of the areas for development are:
Planning
Leadership
Teamwork
Communication
Independence
Logistics
Budgeting
Problem-solving
Negotiating
Reviewing
Peer Feedback
Cultural awareness
Sustainable travel
-
